• return to Boston in the early or mid 20s of August

Sorta. I actually talked to her a lot on #implosion back in the digi-days, which could be due to him or ler, and then randomly happened to meet through OkCupid when I was going to Chicago last summer, and had an amusing reacquaintance. I thought she was just someone I wrote to, she recognized my name but had forgotten we used to talk, but once she told me who she knew of me from, I figured out who she was and pulled out some old logs and showed her :) So Erik was indirectly involved both times, but not intentionally.

You know, I have internet at home, but I also have a habit of coffee shopping, and my next task is to write a dissertation proposal, which I am sure will be enhanced by caffeine and background noise. While you're here, I'll have babies midday, but can probably head to State Street for coffee around 2 pm and work for a few hours before evening fun.

I think I'm all set for Internet & crash space in SF because it appears I can stay with dr_memory and missionista, though it could be fun to visit your place too - I'll trust to your judgement on that :)

More plan falling into place: I think I will aim for arriving in SF on either Sunday or Monday Aug 12 or 13, and get to the Plough the evening of the 13th. And I think it would be nice to go on a short trip with you somewhere that week.

Yes I do Contra! Of course. There is one on I forget which fridays, and on the first third and fifth Wednesdays. I haven't been in a while because I have been going to ceili and friday night waltz. But contra dance will always have a place in my heart.

As RKoM said, drama. The upshot of it is that there are now two locations doing ceili dancing on Monday night: one at the Starry Plough, and the other at the Alameda School of Dance. The folks you know mostly go there, now.

Yup, it is unclear, to me too! Would you believe that about 24 hours ago, the full extent of my plan was YearlyKos Aug 2-5, possible crash space w/japlady, and two more free weeks?

Anyway, based on what's already fallen into place in the past 24 hours, one clear thing is that I won't go that far south on the way out. I have no route for the return trip yet, so I'm not sure... though it's beginning to look like a northern route.

What was the restaurant I went to with you, in NYC, in 2004? It was Jewish, I had my first pierogies with applesauce and sour cream and grilled onions there. I barely went to any deli-style restaurants when in NYC last week. :p

I'm moving to Columbus on Wed 22 August, but my household is moving there this weekend. I imagine that we'll have internet at home. If your travel plans take you that far south that late, I'd love to see you.

Alternately, my flight is through Boston on the evening of the 22nd, so if you're back by then, we could meet up before I fly out.

just a word of warning: I HAS NO INTERNETZ. I only access internet from the public library (where I am now), so don't be counting on using internets from my house. But there are wireless joints all around town at cafes and such, as you know. And hopefully your wetware will be fully functional by the time you get out here and you can just tap into the mainframe by thinking about it real hard. And the 8,9,10 should be fine, but no promises for the 11th in terms of staying at my house, because I might want to be having boisterous monkeysex a certain someone over that night-- his flights gets in that day. Also, be forwarned that I have a roommate who is not too keen on visitors, and although he will be gone most of the time, we might be better served adventuring away from the house during the day. As I am sure you were planning on anyway. I look forward to seeing you soon, and only count on phone to contact me. Cha cha cha ciao!

Here's my plan for Colorado:
- arrive at Molly's overnight tonight (early morning)
- Molly's taking me to a water park tomorrow (Thursday) during the day.
- Thursday evening through Friday daytime free
- Friday evening going to Red Rocks w/Molly and whoever wants to join us
- Saturday BBQ in Boulder
- Saturday night unknown, could go to Fort Collins or the springs if I have crash space
- Sunday either do something with people in Colorado, or drive to San Francisco
- ... if I spend Sunday in CO, then leave for California early Monday morning
