Clarinet is the one truly essential instrument for klezmer. Fiddle and accordion are commonly used, but plenty of klezmer bands lack one or the other, and they still sound totally klezmer. Without a clarinet you just cannot make a band really sound like klezmer.
BTW, on this quiz there are many questions where while one answer is best, some answers are wronger or righter than others. It's not all or nothing.
But yes, it totally is a really tough quiz, which hopefully will give a lot of variation between people who do know music, rather than lumping them all at >90%. Which is why I'm trying to calibrate.
