Frederick, MD county council member Kirby Delauter threatened to sue if a reporter used his name in the paper without his permission.

In the space of 24 hours, the story has gone full Streisand Effect (Washington Post, NPR, puffington host) and he's pulled the original comment from his Facebook page. But the Facebook page is still there.

Apart from his innovative new insights into First Amendment issues, he also seems to know many details about Benghazi that are true in some universe other than this one.

This will leave him in position to raise more money nationally than he ever could locally. I don't know whether he is smart enough to have planned it, but I still doubt the wisdom of giving this cretin so much publicity.
