You say "floated a proposal", but with the authoritarian third-rate administration we've had for the past decade it's really a fait accompli. I've given up on trying to influence MIT policy as at best I get ignored and at worst I get spoken down to by incompetent bureaucrats. They're never going to see a penny from me, though.
