It seems I will want to move, most likely (though not definitely), in May or June. Or possibly later in the summer. But probably May or June, since it would be convenient to get it done before heading out to the wild red yonder with [livejournal.com profile] dreams_of_wings in late June, and returning to a festival filled July.

I want to live with people. Or a person. Ideally someone(s) I already know and like and think would be easy to live with. And I want somewhere with enough space that I can bring in all my books, CDs, and other stuff from all around metro Boston: Here in Cambridge at [livejournal.com profile] aerynne's where I now live, and also in Brookline, Waltham, Malden, Somerville, and Lincoln.

  • I have no pets. Don't want to live with dogs, happy to live with cats.
  • I have a car and need to be able to park it.
  • Laundry at home much preferred. Dishwasher, TV, are not important.
  • Rent low enough that I can continue to work part time, and do campaigns. $700 or less?
  • I won't keep a strictly kosher or vegetarian kitchen, but have successfully lived with vegetarians and people who keep kosher who didn't require that.
  • I prefer clothing optional but it's not a requirement.
  • I'll have various overnight guests, sex, etc. Housemates should have no problem with that.
  • Staying in Boston.

So, who's moving this summer? Or knows of some good space? Or considering forming a household? I'm probably not going to decide anything until April or May, but I'll be thinking about it and looking for possibilities from now until then, and may decide earlier.

Darn, the dog think killed it, I have two dogs and I am planning on geting a third. (a puppy - I have show dogs)

Darn, because I have a house that is almost a two family home. (two bathrooms, two kitchens, seperate entrances)

MMM Again wish that the dog thing was more flexible. Dan and I are talking about pulling together a household (in the very early stages of talking about this, don't know if we'll know for sure by April). We were also hoping to get a dog in our next place.

Hmm.

"Staying in Boston" includes what towns or neighborhoods? Or do you mean strictly Boston proper?

Do you get "the list"? http://www.queeragenda.org I subscribe for the happenings about town, but their housing listings are the best I've ever seen. Lots of funky co-oppy stuff and whatnot. Desperately wish I had known about *that* when I was moving here cold with no friends in town and no connections. Sigh. Okay, moving on from that terrible moving experience! I could forward you this week's installment if you want to see what kind of stuff they list before subscribing yourself.
