The kittens and their young mom are temporarily living in my room. It's not a good long term home for them because it's just one room, and we can't let them into the rest of the house or they'd freak out [livejournal.com profile] mzrowan's cats, who have tenure here.

Right now they're skittering about the room, rolling over each other, having a lot of fun but miraculously causing very limited chaos.

Want them? One, two, or all four?

I wish... James and I were even talking the other day about getting kittens until we realized we don't have space for essentials, like a litter box :( Good luck finding them good homes!

ZOMG YES! But I can't have them! I want to come over and soak in their cuteness! I doubt I can convince R that he should get a kitten so that I won't miss Jack so much when I'm over? Shh, don't tell him.

Hmm. An SO of mine ADORES cats, and lost his a few months back due to kidney failure. He's currently temporarily caring for my friend's cat, due to said friend being homeless. He might want a kitten, but I'd have to ask him.

Yeah, I might. The main issue is that if he wanted one of the kittens, he'd a) first have to make sure the adult cat he's caring for can go back to it's owner, because said cat doesn't get along well with other cats, and b) Would have to clear it with his roomie, because he's leaving to go on a two week trip to India, starting sometime around Dec 15th. The roomie also seems to like cats, so this could work, but I'd want to chat with him first. They are really cute kitties. :) While it would be charming and sweet to surprise him with a kitten, it wouldn't be the responsible thing to do.

He's not around enough to give a kitty the attention it deserves and needs anyway. How much do you want to bet he mentions them to me? :)

Oh they are so so cute. If you lived closer I might take one. But in addition to the drive to get said kitty, my Mabel has always been an only child and with the added stress on her of the recent cross-country move...I'm not sure this would be a good time to surprise her with a little kitty. *sigh*

But they are SO cute. :)

OOOH! I want a kitten!!! Also, they are exactly the kind of kitten Hawver wants - gray with white paws. It's torture. Sadly, I actually probably can't get it to chicago. But [livejournal.com profile] uberjay and [livejournal.com profile] jojotbird are in the market. I will tell them.

Hoppie, kitties are cute and furry. Kitties will love you even if Marci is mad at you. Kitties are clean. Kitties can stay home alone while you are at work and can even stay home if you are gone for just a night or two. Kitties keep you warm on cold nights. Kitties will clean you if you are dirty.

I've flown with my cats several times. They usually require that the cats have shots and everything (though they don't always check that you actually have the paperwork) and it can be kind of expensive. Hmmm. The other hurdle is our landlord.

Weirdly, what I really want is an adult cat. I don't have the patience right now for kittens eating things I didn't even realize I left on the floor and peeing in my bed. I hope you found homes for them.

Hmmm. Hmmm, I say again. Have you gotten either of the remaining felines any health care or is that still needed?

Cool. I am more interested in the adult cat. I just emailed my roommates to see how they feel about it.
