Oh, I see what you mean. Technically, if one candidate gets 92% in each state and the other gets 8%, then candidate 1 is effectively averaging 100% and candidate 2 is effectively averaging 0%. But states vote very differently. To average 92% she'd have to shut him out (keep him under 15%) in some states, while getting 80-something in others. What she'd need to average is 92% across all the remaining states.
