Edit: First question is all in US/Eastern, even though I only explicitly labelled a few of the options. If you're on the other side of the date line and your Friday morning is US/Eastern's Thursday afternoon or evening/night, translate to US/Eastern.

[Poll #1399807]

Edit: Please ignore Daylight Savings vs. Standard Time adjustments for the second question - I'm labelling the "native" time zones.

Unusual

But it's unusual for me to be logged into LJ from work.

Most of Europe is on GMT+2 at the moment.
Only the most western parts of Europe are on GMT+1.

I put GMT in even though the UK is currently on BST and not GMT, I assumed from the "much of Europe" comment that you intended GMT+1 to be the continent.

Um... I'm in EDT. I'm seeing people say that they saw this post after 11am Easter, and it's not eleven yet. Huh?

Hmm, current time is Thursday, 10:43AM EST, you already have two votes for Thursday 11am-1pm US/Eastern.

...but this is a fluke. Rarely up before 8 a.m. Pacific/11 a.m. Eastern.

Was this intended maybe as a reading comprehension test?

Yup. I just figured you might be bemused at the late vote for 11-1pm. 11:19, IIRC, since I glanced at the clock when I saw the question.

I love that you have readers who live in the future.

(okok, or just don't count time correctly)

another "unusual for me" response -- normally, I would have seen it somewhere in the 8pm EST zone, but I had plans Thursday night and went directly to bed when I got home....

but it's unusual for me to be in GMT+1 (well, 3 to 4 weeks per year, anyway) and even more unusual for me to be here and be reading LJ.

yes, and I put +1 because I am in the same time zone as France, Germany, etc, though by some definitions in Eastern Europe, and we are +1 from London.

It's just after noon on Friday, so I'm not sure whether you want to count that as Friday morning or as part of the weekend stretch.

erm . . . I'm "in" Az's own special timezone (which is NOT Mountain) but in a section that doesn't observe Az time (it is mountain, I think) about to drive into another rez that IS Az time . . . ummm . . "Other time zone in the Americas or Hawaii" ?

I'm traveling between 2 and 3 hours behind you (which makes you seem closer)
Date: 2009-05-15 22:12 (UTC)

From: [identity profile] listgirl.livejournal.com
what's a native time zone? If the rez is in the borders of another rez, does that make it double native?

I'm confused.
Date: 2009-05-15 23:20 (UTC)

From: [identity profile] listgirl.livejournal.com
No. We're not. Every time our IT department had to reset my computer they had to set it to the option labled "AZ". Not mountain.

AND my airline tickets from last week said the timezone was Arizona Standard.

You still didn't address what to do if I'm moving between time zones, which I'm not anymore I've settled back in AZ.

Doesn't Kentucky do that too?

I'm not sure which I was in when I first saw it. I was in the car and don't know where the line is exactly.
