I want to clarify that this is a tangent. Although I do think the requirement that everyone get health insurance is a good thing, it's not what I'm advocating in this post. What's in question is whether health reform includes a public option or not. All of the advice above is about how to make the public option happen; none of it is about whether or not to include the requirement that everyone get insurance.
