Yup, so on wine - where I believe the excise tax is highest - the "double tax" based on a 750ml bottle would be 11 cents X 6.25% = 0.7 cents. Less than one cent. Yet this "double tax" is actually being used as an argument in favor of Q2.
Like I said, if they think there shouldn't be an excise tax on alcohol, let them introduce a ballot question eliminating the excise tax on alcohol.
