Road Trip part 2: west coast

I got into the bay area Monday evening just in time for the Alameda Ceili. Tonight I'll be staying at rightkindofme's (south bay), and tomorrow switching over to dr_memory & missionista's in the Mission for the next couple of days. Plans remaining for here:

• Wednesday evening: Berkeley contra dance w/missionista - wanna come join us there?
• Thursday evening: something with redfierma - whoah, she's in SF! :) Includes possible dinner with friends, comment if you're free and I may reply with details for joining us.
• Friday: I don't know. Maybe drive north, maybe something here.

Next up, Portland and Seattle. I'll drive north on either Friday or Saturday, and in Portland probably spend most of my time at keturn and tornadogrrrl's. Hoping to catch dollbunny while there.

• Monday eve, Aug 20: Narnia
• Tuesday eve, Aug 21: Jason Webley at Fremont Abbey Arts Ctr in Seattle w/amare - wanna join us?
• Wed, Aug 22: uncertain, hopefully some time with yix in the afternoon.

Then it's time to head back east.

Dang, I lost track of which day the concert was, and now I've got plans with a friend I rarely get to see. And I just agreed to come in to work three hours early tomorrow, or I would ask if you're free for lunch. I guess I'll catch you on your next visit.

That you could come see me. I am at a "meeting the most awesome new people" faze in my life, plus I'm in the South Bay. Sort of. Wwwwaaaaaaaaaaayy South. Okay, not that bad, but you haven't been my friend long enough to go an hour out of your way and I am sadly aware of that fact.
At any rate Cos, I wish you lots o luck in your travels. This side of the country is beautiful, especially at this time of year. Enjoy it and be safe. I hope you're in a nice, reliable automobile with excellent gas mileage.

I'm in the Monterey bay area, none too far from Fremont. I am currently without AIM or proper use of my phone. Arg. And I'm working tomorrow night and don't have any way of getting around other than rides from friends which comes back to that pesky phone problem. Crud.

When you said south bay waaay south, I was thinking you meant somewhere like Campbell or Los Gatos.

oh man, now I'm home(?)-sick. I'm capable of feeling homesick for far too many places at once... I've already started to feel sad about leaving Edinburgh and my month here is only half over. But I'm glad you made it to the ceili.

I made this post from Berkeley Espresso, after having just dropped mackelzinzie off at her home on Cedar. I was getting serious Liana visit flashbacks! Fitting that this post would have a complementary effect on you :)

... and then she took me to the Albany landfill, which I first heard about from you.

It feels very strange to go to Berkeley and not see you.

keturn and tornadogrrrl and their greater household (of which I am a very infrequent member) get together on Monday nights and read a book aloud together, passing it around with people taking turns reading. There is also dinner, which I hope to participate in cooking.
