Seeing Sleep No More for a second time last night evoked xkcd Click and Drag. I was expecting to see many of the same scenes and settings I saw the first time, with a better understanding of what was happening. I was not expecting what actually happened: spending the majority of my time seeing scenes and settings I hadn't even known were there the first time. And even though I visited at least one floor this time that I know I never ventured onto at all last time, I also know there's at least one more floor I still haven't been to. Maybe more than one.

Recommend, for best experience, to attend on one of the special dates. There's only one entry time and you get a meal on the roof at the end. We went for July 4th, saw much much more than we had the time before, It was half as crowded as usual, and bonus fireworks!

indeed.
At this point, I've worked the NYC show 8 times & attended 2 times. I kinda don't want to sink the money into it if I can't get onto the 6th floor (Which is only accessible by one person per elevator load, and only for the first half of the show), or a non-Hecate one on one (since I've already had one of those.)

The Halloween shows last year were *spectacular*. I was bummed to not be able to swing any shows with the new roof deck this summer.

Man, I'm pretty sure this sort of experience would drive the story-completionist in me (long nurtured by video games where time more or less stands still until you trigger the next major plot point) absolutely nuts.

Man, it's been a long time since I played Infocom. I suspect I played them quite slowly, and was driven nuts by anything with a turn limit.
I have played Nethack, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if I've spent more time looking at spoilers and descriptions of other people's run-throughs than actually playing.

Don't get me wrong, I do love exploring giant, detailed worlds. It's when I'm under a time constraint (or threat of an imminent demise that would remove me from where I'm exploring) that my eye starts to twitch...
